About me
 
As usual it's the dog that are in the front.  But as you can read in the books you shouldn't let the dogs take over so I guess I have to tell a little about myself...
 
My name is Maria. I've been into the dog world for many years, first with Hamiltonstovare and Pyrenean Mountain Dog. Almost nine years ago I found "my" breed - Portuguese Water Dog.    
 
For many years I was active in the Breed Club - "Rasklubben för Portugisisk vattenhund" - as member of the Board and the Breeding Committe, that was very fun and I did learn a lot. I'm still active by writing an article for the club magazine now and then, and helping arrange shows and member activities. I'm also active in my local dog club, for instance holding puppy classes. I am interested in all activities you can do together with the dogs, right now the work is focused on obedience and tracking with Razzi, and - just for fun - search practice with Akilles. Hopefully Razzi and I will be ready to start competing this spring. (It just depends on me, doesn't it... ? )
 
As you can see, my life is focused on dogs and dog activities. Some people maybe will say that it sounds a bit boring. But these things has given me friends all over the country, and contacts in other countries, and I have seen a lot of new places both in Sweden and abroad.
